A Low-Voltage and Fast-Response Infrared Spatial Light Modulator
We report a low-voltage and fast-response polymer network liquid crystal (PNLC) infrared phase modulator. By optimizing the UV curing temperature and LC host, we achieved V2= 22.8V at =1.55m and response time about 1ms. Such a PNLC-based spatial light modulator is useful for adaptive optics, adaptive lens, and laser beam steering. Author
متن کاملHfO2-based ferroelectric modulator of terahertz waves with graphene metamaterial∗
Tunable modulations of terahertz waves in a graphene/ferroelectric-layer/silicon hybrid structure are demonstrated at low bias voltages. The modulation is due to the creation/elimination of an extra barrier in Si layer in response to the polarization in the ferroelectric Si:HfO2 layer. Considering the good compatibility of HfO2 with the Si-based semiconductor process, the highly tunable charact...
متن کاملDemonstration of polarization-insensitive spatial light modulation using a single polarization-sensitive spatial light modulator
We present a simple configuration incorporating a single polarization-sensitive phase-only liquid crystal spatial light modulator (LC-SLM) to facilitate polarization-insensitive spatial light modulation. The polarization-insensitive configuration is formed by a polarization beam splitter (PBS), a polarization-sensitive phase-only LC-SLM, a half-wave plate (HWP), and a mirror in a loop structure...
متن کاملCompressed single pixel imaging in the spatial frequency domain.
We have developed compressed sensing single pixel spatial frequency domain imaging (cs-SFDI) to characterize tissue optical properties over a wide field of view ( 35 ?? mm × 35 ?? mm ) using multiple near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths simultaneously. Our approach takes advantage of the relatively sparse spatial content required for mapping tissue optical properties at length scales comparable to t...
متن کاملSingle-pixel polarimetric imaging.
We present an optical system that performs Stokes polarimetric imaging with a single-pixel detector. This fact is possible by applying the theory of compressive sampling to the data acquired by a commercial polarimeter without spatial resolution. The measurement process is governed by a spatial light modulator, which sequentially generates a set of preprogrammed light intensity patterns. Experi...
